Blogs of a Bookworm!
My super messy bookrack. Will need to fix this soon! I've always considered blogging at first to be the epitome of narcissism and an indictment of someone's endless thirst for attention. Why would I do it now? My earlier statement is the result of not understanding why people blog, why they vlog, or create Youtube channels. It is their way of sharing their interests, channeling their energy into something that they like. By putting myself in their shoes, I now understand that people only really want to share what they like, what they thought of, and what motivates them. I've been a voracious book reader for years. I've channeled my enthusiasm to Goodreads, but there is really not much you can do in Goodreads. After a few years of using it, I find myself reading for the sake of simply accomplishing my book reading targets, rather than understanding what I'm reading.
